Primary immunodeficiencies (PADs) are caused by intrinsic alterations of one or more components of the immune system. The complexity of the criteria for classification and diagnosis of PADs with antibody synthesis deficiency, together with the clinical and analytical variability, and the poor knowledge of these entities, leads to underdiagnosis.

There is currently an exponential increase in the use of biological therapy directed at specific molecular targets, which has led to the recovery or stabilization of several autoimmune or neoplastic diseases that were incurable until a few years ago. This has led to the massive use of this type of drugs by many specialists.

The second edition of the workshop aims to provide an update on the mechanisms of primary and secondary antibody deficiencies, as well as to deepen the management and treatment and analyze the impact of COVID-19 in PIDs.
