The course is mainly aimed at specialists and advanced electrophysiology fellows who want to acquire or deepen the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the alcoholic ablation technique of the Marshall vein or ventricular substrates.
Alcoholic ablation has been established as a complementary technique for treating refractory atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation and macroreentrant tachycardia, as well as ventricular substrates such as extrasitolia or ventricular tachycardia. There is a growing need for training and be able to incorporate this technique in electrophysiology laboratories, but for its effective and safe execution, a deep knowledge of the anatomy and the different methods of alcoholization is required, as well as the possible complications of the procedure.
