The increasing knowledge of the Human Immune System and the physiopathology of the Immune-Mediated Diseases (IMID) lead us to identify a huge number of new targets and a rapid increase of different biologic therapies for the IMID patients. Moreover, the potential implication of the exo-genome in the activation of the immune system and its role in the different IMIDs is up to date one of the most interesting scientific challenges. However, the pharmacy cost of Biologic therapy is enormous for the healthcare system and the long-term safety of these drugs remains controversial. In order to use all the resources, we have to better identify which patients should be treated and which treatment should be done (personalized medicine), which appears as a pivotal tool in the correct management of these patients.
The first edition of the New insights in Rheumatology and its therapeutical implications workshop is an excellent learning and networking platform for healthcare professionals and researchers involved in the diagnosis and treatment of IMIDs. The conference, led by renowned experts, will provide a comprehensive overview of the management of Rheumatoid arthritis and the Spondyloarthritis family focused on image and all differential clinical and biologic data useful to move forward a personalized medicine. We will also evaluate in deep the clinical and therapeutical implications of the microbiome in these diseases.
