Dr. Enric Pedrol, MD Ph.D. born in Barcelona (Catalonia) in 1961, actually he is Head of the Internal Medicine Department of the Viladecans University Hospital (Institut Català de la Salut). His received his MD and Ph.D. at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB). At the academic level, he is an associate professor of Medicine at the UB. He also participates in the organizing committee and scientific committee of several international and national AIDS conferences. He is the reviewer of several Journals of HIV Medicine. Expert on secondary effects of antiretroviral therapy (especially in mitochondrial toxicity and CNS effects), clinical management of HIV patients and co-infection VCH-HIV. He has received some awards. He has published more than 300 papers in international and national journals (impact factor > 600).
